Have, Want, Need. . . .

Well, for now ladies, I have swapped my Vogues and InStyle (alright and maybe OK Magazine) glossies for this new read.
The Yummy Mummy's Survival Guide by Liz Fraser is an absolute must for any mummy-to-be and/or new mummy.
Not only is it full of fab tips from a 'been there, done it' - from pregnancy to labour to those first few months and beyond but it is a brutal account from the most wonderful moments to the not so glamorous side of being a mummy. Liz has managed to combine humour with fact and not wrap motherhood in cotton wool and caramelize it. If you want the truth...here you will find it.

It really is a stylist, personal trainer, box of anti-depressants, bar of chocolate and best friend in one that should be and will be carried around as an essential item!

The Last Times.......

With an exciting day filled with hoovering, cleaning, staring at nursery, ironing, staring at nursery, Deal or No Deal, staring at nursery, midwife appointment (actually quite exciting, just love listening to her heartbeat), and back home to do...oh I have done everything, I decided that I couldn't bear another night just sat in front of the TV, feeling huge and working my way through a packet of biscuits, both of which, I am doing right now, so I called the 'bethrothed' and threw caution to the wind and decided we needed to go out for dinner.

Now some may see this as a sneaky way of getting out of cooking (me? never!!) but what actually crossed my mind is, this could be the last time for a long time, that we get the opportunity to do this. Just moi and him.

Which then got me into thinking, what other 'last times' will I be having over the next few weeks. Last trip to the hairdresser's. Last trip shopping for clothes for me. Last hour long bath. Last.....everything!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, the day I become a mummy, will be my proudest day to date but I feel like I am having a rather extravagant funeral for my past life.
If any mummy's out there, in that big bad blogging world, would like to reassure me this is not the case, then please feel free to enlighten me!

I wish i could say this is the last time i will eat a whole packet of biscuits, but you and I both know this will not be the case.....

Curtains up ..... Please take your seats.

Well, what better way to write my first post on the 1st February...slight touch of OCD quite possibly, everything has to be in order. But hey, not to get off the beaten track.

Hello...and welcome!!

Let me get one thing straight, I don't have botox. Give me a year, and i may have to re-answer that, but for now, I am botox free.
So a little bit about me (I will keep it short); I am 27, a full time dance teacher, and 36 weeks pregnant!

Although, from a very young age, I was wrapped up in cotton wool and had everything done for me, this past year has been very much a learning curve for. Moving into my house with my 'betrothed' and attempting and failing and attempting again and failing again to learn how to cook. I literally cannot be bothered, and completely clueless. However in 4 weeks time, I will be a mummy, and lets face it, no one wants a mummy who CANNOT COOK......GOD FORBID!!! So check in for my cooking updates, as I feel it could make for very amusing reading

I do have to confess to being a complete beauty junkie (the word 'whore' just doesn't feel right now with imminent motherhood), so....I will be popping in a few reviews of anything I absolutely adore and could not live without.

And once 'Princess Bump' becomes just Princess...I will be throwing in a few wonderful baby products that may come my way.
So like it is says on the tin, if you're interested in anything from Botox to Babies, this is the right place for you, plus if your lucky, you may even get a *special edition* labour post, but trust me, I will spare you the gory details.

But let me make one thing clear, I do not intend to leave any of my femininity, best lingerie and fave Louis Vuitton bag at the maternity ward, so: WATCH THIS SPACE.

Now where is that damned stretch mark cream..................
